Real Estate Pre-Licensing

    Sales Course: 
    A total of 72 hours of approved classroom education is required to comply with State of Wisconsin regulations to receive a salespersons license. The Sales Course is available as a home study / self-learning course - tuition $450.00. The textbook for the course is included in the tuition. The course must be completed within one year.

    Students will be given study material that should be completed for each course. The average time period to be spent preparing for each lesson is two hours. All questions and definitions that appear on the worksheets. Each student will be able to fill out the listing and offer contracts, the closing statements and understand the rules, regulations and laws governing the real estate profession. Each student should have the basic technical tools and competency to engage in the practice of real estate. 

    Upon completion of the Sales Course, each student will be prepared to take the required examination. Pre-licensing education must be completed prior to taking the examination. The exam is offered by PearsonVue Testing Service. Students register with PearsonVue and schedule their own exam time. 

    Upon passing the individual examination, the student is required to present the applicable certificate issued by the Institute to the Department of Safety and Professional Services in Madison in order to receive the appropriate license.
